Description

Take a crash course on Ilocos language, history, traditions, and cuisine and take a tour of some of the region’s top tourist attractions with this online class and virtual tour package. This package comes with 4 60-minute sessions that will tackle the Ilocano language, Ilocano history and traditions, Ilocos cuisine, and Ilocos tourist attractions, making it perfect for those who want to visit the region in the near future.

Your 4 sessions can be taken once a day for 4 days, every other day, or once a week. The schedule of each of your sessions is flexible, but should you wish to change it, make sure to send a request with enough notice. Once your schedule is confirmed, your instructor or guide will send you a link to Zoom Meeting, which will serve as the host for your sessions.

You’ll start this package with a class on the Ilocano language. This introductory course will teach you the basics of the third most spoken native language in the Philippines. By the end of it, you should be able to speak basic Ilocano phrases that could help you during your actual visit to the region.

Next, you’ll learn about the history and traditions of Ilocos. In your 2nd class, you’ll travel back in time and hear about the rich history of the region. Some of the influences of the past can still be seen today, particularly in the city of Vigan.

Your 3rd class will be on Ilocano cuisine. Allow your instructor to introduce you to flavorful local dishes, including pinakbet, a hearty vegetable dish. Ilocos’ pinakbet is arguably the best in the country.

The last session of this package is a virtual tour of some of the best tourist spots in the region. Let your tour guide show you the cobbled streets of Vigan and the natural wonders of Ilocos, including beaches and waterfalls. Before you end the session, feel free to ask your guide about where to stay, what to do, and where to eat so you can plan your future trip better.

Go on a virtual tour of some of Ilocos’s top tourist sites and attend virtual classes on the region’s culture when you book this package. Check the availability by choosing a date.
