It is one of the famous dishes from San Pablo City, and some believe that it was first created by a farmer who wanted to show his love for his wife by inventing a new dish. The noodles in this dish are made from mushrooms with squash (or kalabasa) and coconut (or buko), hence the name kalabuko.

The last dish featured on this tour is suman, a sweet delicacy made from rice. Although this dish is not unique to the city, San Pablo’s suman is known for its unique texture. You’ll learn how to make this delicacy and how to wrap it the traditional way.
