Its name means “thorny” in the Filipino language, and while there are thorny plants in the mountain, a seasoned guide will be able to lead visitors on a path that avoids them.
The journey to the top of Mount Matinik is easier than that of Mount Manalmon. At the summit, hikers will be rewarded with an unobstructed view of the surrounding greenery and the nearby river.
